Privacy Policy
Last updated:
The short version: this website has no contact form, no accounts, and no logins. We only receive your personal information when you book a call through Cal.com or email us, and we use it to talk with you about your project. When you browse, the site keeps a short-lived technical record (such as your IP address) for up to 2 hours to keep it secure. We don’t sell anything, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Who we are
MRD (Marketing · Revenue · Development) is the fractional B2B growth practice of Froebel F. Mata, based in the Philippines. In this policy, “MRD”, “we”, and “us” mean that practice, and “you” means anyone who visits this website or contacts us.
MRD is responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, email mata.froebel@gmail.com.
What we collect and where it comes from
- When you book a call. The “Book a discovery call” buttons open our scheduling page on Cal.com, which collects your name, email address, the time you pick, and anything you add to the booking (such as notes about your company). Cal.com shares these details with us so we can hold the call.
- When you email or call us. Your email address or phone number, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- During discovery calls and projects. Business contact details and information about your company that you share with us, such as your goals, tools, and team.
- When you visit the website. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time.
- Security records. While you browse, the website keeps an encrypted session record with your IP address, browser type, and the time of your last visit. It also briefly counts how many pages each IP address requests, so it can slow down bots and block requests that look like attacks. These records are used only to keep the site secure and working, never for marketing.
We don’t knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you don’t send it to us.
How we use your information
- To confirm, prepare for, and hold the discovery call you booked, and to reply to your messages.
- To send proposals and, if you become a client, to deliver the work, send invoices, and keep business records.
- To keep the website secure, working properly, and free from abuse, for example by limiting automated traffic and blocking hacking attempts.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We use your information because you asked us to (for example, by booking a call), because we need it to prepare or carry out an agreement with you, because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, or because the law requires it.
We don’t add you to a newsletter or marketing list unless you ask to join one, and we don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the website and the business:
- Cal.com, for scheduling calls.
- Our email and calendar provider, for messages and meeting invitations.
- Our video-call provider (such as Google Meet or Zoom), for the calls themselves.
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the site, its security records, and its server logs.
- Bunny Fonts, which delivers the website’s typeface. Your browser connects to it directly, so it receives your IP address, but it doesn’t use cookies or track you.
These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
The website links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, Cal.com, and the websites of companies we’ve worked with. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
International transfers
We work from the Philippines with clients around the world, and some of our providers store data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. When your information is transferred, we rely on providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Booking details and emails from people who don’t become clients: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records (contracts, invoices, and project correspondence): for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Session records: up to 2 hours after your last page view; expired records are deleted automatically.
- Page-request counters (for slowing down bots): about one minute.
- Server logs: usually no longer than 90 days, depending on our hosting provider.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see “Your rights” below).
Cookies
This website sets two small first-party cookies that are needed to keep it secure and working: mrd-session, which links your visit to its encrypted session record, and XSRF-TOKEN, a security token that protects against forged requests. They’re only sent to this website, don’t track you across other websites, and expire after 2 hours without activity. Because they’re strictly necessary, they don’t need your consent.
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
Cal.com may set its own cookies on its booking page. See the Cal.com privacy policy for details.
How we protect it
We protect the website, and the little information it handles, with several layers of security:
- the site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and session records are encrypted;
- there are no user accounts, logins, or forms, so there are no passwords or form submissions to steal;
- security rules tell your browser to run only our own approved scripts, which blocks injected code, and stop other sites from embedding ours;
- private server files are locked away from the web, and common hacking scans are blocked automatically;
- automated traffic is rate-limited, and the software we use is kept up to date and checked for known vulnerabilities.
We use reputable providers with strong security and limit access to your information to the people who need it to work with you. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will act quickly, including telling you where the law requires it, if anything goes wrong.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that’s inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete it, or to stop or limit how we use it;
- object to how we use it, including for any direct marketing;
- receive your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw any consent you’ve given, at any time.
To make a request, email mata.froebel@gmail.com. We’ll reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first. There’s no charge.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the National Privacy Commission in the Philippines, or the authority where you live (for example, in the EU, the UK, or Australia).
Children
This website and our services are meant for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy if the website or our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we’ll make it clear on this page.
